I decided to share with you some of my basic looks for all the different things we do as wives, mothers, girlfriends and friends. I’m all about looking put together, fashionable and always comfortable. There’s nothing worse than being uncomfortable in our own clothing! Everyone is different as far as what their budget is for clothing. Personally I love spending less on my clothing and more on shoes. I feel like shoes wear completely different if you get cheap versus spending a little more. Clothes I honestly can’t tell a big difference, the big thing is how you wash and take care of them! H&M, Forever 21, Old Navy and Nordstrom are some of my favorite places for clothes. For all you tall girls like me, Old Navy’s “tall” section online is amazing! For shoes I love Nordstrom, Anthropologie, Piperlime and Neiman Marcus.
One other thing I wanted to touch on super fast before we jump into the outfits is how important it is to take care of ourselves. We have a lot on our plate, all of us do and we need to put ourselves as a priority! Drink water and ditch the soda, your figure and skin will thank you. Get enough sleep, it’s so important yet so dang hard! Shower every day, wash your face before bed, put a little makeup on in the mornings, it makes a HUGE difference in how you feel about yourself. It only needs to take 5 minutes to wash our face, apply a little tinted face lotion, mascara and don’t forget the lipstick!! I am a HUGE believer in lipstick, everyone looks better with a little color on their lips. I opt for bold colors, the brighter the better for myself but there are so many great tinted chapsticks out there for those of you who aren’t a lipstick fan. It instantly wakes you up and makes you look completely put together! Oh and let me share a little tip with you… want to ditch your makeup remover + facial moisturizer + wrinkle cream + hair oil all with one simple solution?? Go buy yourself a bottle of 100% pure apricot oil, your skin will thank you. It is amazing!
Okay on to a few of my basic looks for all the different activities we get to be a part of!
This is what I throw on to run errands when I don’t have time to do my hair, apply a full face of makeup or I’m just too tired for the day. Hats are my favorite accessory, they hide bad/dirty hair and they are just too cute!
Hat: H&M
Top: H&M
Leggings: Nordstrom, Zella Live in
Boots: Nordstrom, Vince Camuto
This is the kind of outfit I basically live in. It’s comfy, has layers which are my favorite and is great for lunches out, park days, walks, crafting just basically anything casual.
Hat: H&M
V-neck Tee: H&M Mens
Sweater: A Boutique years ago
Necklace: Random Boutique
Pants: Old Navy
Shoes: Neiman Marcus, Sam Edelman
This type of outfit is what I wear for date nights, concerts, girls night out, parties and things where you want to feel fancy but not too dressy! Accessorizing and a little wedge can easily take your outfit from daytime to night without having to totally change which is a huge time savor for me!
Denim Shirt: Forever 21
Sweatshirt: H&M
Necklace: Anthropologie
Camo Pants: Old Navy
Shoes: Anthropologie
The last one I wanted to share is a comfy dressy outfit that’s perfect for holiday parties, family pictures and church. I love that it has enough going on without even having to accessorize, that’s a bug plus with a toddler that loves to tug on jewelry! Bold tights are the best in my opinion, you can change up an outfit 100% just by changing the color or print of your tights. Don’t be afraid of bright colors!
Top: Forever 21
Skirt: Sewed it a few years ago
Tights: Macys
Shoes: Nordstrom Rack
I hope that gives you a few new ideas for your style, thanks for letting me post for the day!!!
