I had such a fun time with the kids today. We went on a “rock hunt”. I gave them each a container and had them pick out a few rocks in different shapes and sizes.
We then brought the rocks home and the created rock creatures out of them. The kids told me where to glue the rocks, and I used me glue gun to glue them together.
They then began painting.
My kids chose to do a dinosaur, turtle, and a dog. There are sooo many options. Some easy ones would be a lady bug, flower, pig, kitty, spider, or butterfly.
If we wanted to be more fiddly, we could have used googly eyes, yarn for hair, buttons, etc..
We will definitely be doing this craft again. It kept them occupied, away from the tv, and happy! – Jenny
