We wanted to take the time to introduce you to Primary Children’s Medical Center and let you know why we choose to donate to them. As some of you may know, Jenny and Jason, the owners of Taylor Joelle Designs, have a son named Cooper who was born with a heart defect. Cooper spent several nights in the intensive care unit at Primary Children’s. They were so grateful for the care and the staff there. They do their best to reduce the stress and craziness that can cause children who go to a hospital to be scared. One of the most amazing things about Primary Children’s is that no child is ever turned away for inability to make payment.
Primary Children’s Medical Center is the children’s hospital for Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Nevada, and Montana. They are celebrating 90 years of caring this year! They are equipped and staffed to care for children with complex illness and injury. Primary Children’s is the only Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center serving the Intermountain West. They are also one of nine core sites for the Pediatric Heart Network, and the only site located in the western United States. Their simple philosophy of The Child First and Always® informs every decision they make, and how they care for patients and families.
Jenny and Jason have made many more visits to Primary Children’s over the years, and each time they give the child something to take home. This is primarily how Taylor Joelle donates to them. Usually our donations are clothing items that can be given to the children that are being served. We have donated several times over the past few years.
We are proud of the service and care being offered at Primary Children’s. This will continue to be a place that we will donate to time and time again. If you are interested in donating to or volunteering for Primary Children’s, you can visit their website for more information. Thank you for supporting our involvement with Primary Children’s Medical Center.
Thank you for this great blog post and the donations to the hospital. We really appreciate it, and we are grateful for patients like your son that inspire us each and everyday to do our best. We wish your family the very best!
